The Konz Music Festival

The Konz Music Festival and the Master Academy for Chamber Music 2024 celebrate their 30th anniversary and offer internationally renowned ensembles, the lecturers and students of the Master Academy, the pupils of the region and their big band as well as the general public the opportunity to communicate with each other in a welcoming atmosphere and to share the great art of making music.

Since Germany and Central Europe have always been the beating heart of chamber music throughout the centuries, it is an honor and a source of pride for me to present the Konz Music Festival 2024, which uniquely showcases the beautiful Saar region and brings together many important local traditions in which music and winemaking play a crucial role.

In addition to the concerts by the lecturers and students of the Master Academy, we have the pleasure of inviting the young and successful Barbican Quartet, a recital with the internationally renowned pianist Joseph Moog and the English soprano Lucy Farrimond, as well as the up-and-coming Irida Trio from Saarbrücken.

The choice of concert venues reflects the breadth and diversity of the region, as does the range and variety of local wines on offer. From the church in Konz to the Ruchus Chapel in Nittel, from the Kanzheim winery to the Contemporaneum in Oberbillig, and from the village of Tawern to the Bitburg Theatre...

With affordable entrance fees, I can only warmly encourage you to join us in celebrating this convivial festival of music, wine, youth, and experiences.
